Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 9, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Logos – Beyond the Grade ("Logos", "we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use the Logos mobile or desktop application. Logos is operated by George Reaidy.
By using Logos, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, do not use the application.
1. Information we collect
Depending on the features you use, Logos may process:
- Account information: username, recovery email address, password credentials handled by our authentication provider, and account identifiers.
- Academic setup information: LAU catalog year, major, entry level, program year, and current semester.
- Academic records you enter: courses, curriculum and degree-plan information, tasks, grades, deadlines, notes, and related progress data.
- Support and account-recovery information: information you provide when requesting password recovery, email confirmation, account deletion, or support.
- Purchase information: product, transaction or subscription reference, payment status, billing-period dates, purchase time, and account entitlements or complimentary grants. Paddle handles new purchases on Windows and Android through the Logos website; Google Play may still process legacy purchases; Logos does not store your full card number.
- Technical information: application version, operating-system/platform information, and basic request information needed to provide authentication, synchronization, notifications, and update checks.
Logos does not request your device contacts, microphone, camera, or precise location as part of its normal academic features.
2. Local storage and cloud synchronization
Logos stores academic information locally on your device so that cached information can remain available. If you sign in and use cloud features, selected account and academic data may also be synchronized through Logos Cloud, powered by Supabase.
Synchronization is intended to keep your data consistent across supported devices. The app may perform automatic synchronization and also provide a manual sync action when needed. If a conflict occurs, the app may ask you to resolve it.
3. How we use information
- create and secure your account;
- save, display, synchronize, and restore your academic information;
- provide curriculum, degree-planning, grades, task, and calendar features;
- send reminders and notifications you enable, such as task or deadline reminders;
- refresh academic catalog information and check for application updates;
- process purchases, grant cross-platform access, and authorize private application downloads;
- provide Logos AI and AI Degree Planner features; and
- prevent misuse, troubleshoot failures, and maintain application security.
4. Logos AI
Logos records account-linked AI request type, reservation status, timestamps, model and token counts to enforce shared daily and monthly allowances and monitor operating costs. Subscription and complimentary-access records determine whether AI is available. Authorized administrators can manage account usernames and sign-in emails, grants, device access and account status; administrative changes are recorded for accountability.
When you use Logos AI or AI Degree Planner, Logos sends only the academic context needed for the requested response. The academic coach is designed to exclude your password, email address, authentication tokens, and full name. AI Degree Planner requests are designed to exclude assignments and grades unless the feature explicitly needs information you provide in that request.
AI requests may be processed by third-party AI service providers used by Logos. Do not enter highly sensitive personal information into an AI prompt. AI responses are guidance only and do not change your academic records automatically.
5. Notifications
If you enable reminders, Logos uses the relevant task, deadline, or schedule information to create notifications on your device. Delivery may be handled by your device's operating system. Logos does not use academic notifications for advertising.
6. Service providers
We use service providers to operate parts of Logos, including Supabase for authentication, cloud data, entitlements, and private release delivery, Paddle as merchant of record and payment processor for website checkout on Windows and Android, and Google Play for legacy purchases. We may also use providers for academic catalog requests, AI processing, hosting, security, and application distribution or updates. These providers may process information only as needed to provide their services, protect their systems, comply with law, or support Logos operations.
We do not sell your personal information or use your academic records for targeted advertising.
7. Retention and deletion
Local information remains on your device until you delete it, clear the application data, or uninstall Logos. Cloud information is retained while your account is active and as needed to provide the service.
You can permanently delete your Logos account from the account settings flow. The protected deletion flow requires your current password and confirmation by typing DELETE. Account deletion signs you out locally and requests deletion of your account and associated cloud records. Cancel any paid AI subscription through Paddle or Google Play before deleting your account; deletion does not automatically stop billing. Limited copies may remain temporarily in provider backups or records where retention is required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or dispute resolution.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including authenticated access and protected connections, to help protect information. No electronic storage or transmission method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your choices and rights
You may access and update information in the app, disable optional reminders through your device or Logos settings, request correction of inaccurate information, or delete your account. Depending on your location, you may also have rights to request access, portability, restriction, objection, or removal of personal information. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
10. Children
Logos is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us through semestertracker.uk.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when Logos changes or when legal requirements change. We will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Logos after an update means the updated policy applies.
