Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Logos – Beyond the Grade ("Logos", "we", "us", or "our"), operated by George Reaidy. By creating an account, purchasing Logos Core or Logos AI, or using the Logos application or website, you agree to these Terms.

1. The service

Logos is an academic workspace that may include course, grade, task, calendar, and degree-planning tools, cloud synchronization, Logos AI, and supported desktop or mobile applications. Features may change as the service develops.

2. Accounts and security

• Provide accurate account information and keep your credentials confidential.
• You are responsible for activity through your account. Notify us promptly if you believe it was accessed without permission.
• Do not share, sell, or transfer your account or use another person's account without authorization.
• We may require email confirmation, device verification, or other security checks before granting access.

3. Logos Core

Core is a one-time purchase. Optional Logos AI access is sold separately and is not included in the Core price.

Logos Core is a personal, non-transferable license associated with the account that completes the purchase. A valid purchase unlocks supported Logos Core features on the platforms stated on the pricing page, subject to account status, device limits, and the license rules in effect at purchase.

We may suspend or revoke access when a payment is refunded, charged back, reversed, fraudulent, or associated with misuse.

4. Payments

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the merchant of record for new orders placed through our website on Windows and Android and handles payment processing, payment-related buyer support, and returns. The price, currency, and any applicable taxes are shown at checkout. Paddle handles payment-card and billing details under its own terms and policies; Logos does not store your full card number. Legacy purchases made through Google Play remain subject to Google Play billing and its applicable payment procedures.

Logos AI subscriptions and complimentary access

Logos AI is an optional US$1.99 monthly subscription requiring Core access, a signed-in account, a verified device and an updated application. The final local price and applicable tax are shown at checkout. Subscription access includes 20 chat messages per UTC day and 3 academic planning requests per billing month, shared across devices. Unused allowance does not roll over. Failed backend requests release their quota reservation; a request completed by the server may count even if the client is closed.

Paid subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. Cancel Paddle subscriptions using the Paddle receipt management link or Paddle Buyer Support. Manage any legacy Google Play subscription through Google Play. Cancellation normally retains access through the paid period and stops future renewal. Refunds, payment reversals, expired periods or payment holds may revoke access. Core remains separate.

Administrators can grant complimentary AI access for a fixed period or without expiry. Enabled administrator accounts receive free AI access. Complimentary access uses the same daily allowance and 3 planning requests per UTC calendar month; a grant may expire or be removed. A complimentary grant does not cancel an existing paid subscription.

5. Acceptable use

You must not crack, patch, bypass, reverse engineer, redistribute, resell, or interfere with Logos, its license checks, private downloads, cloud services, or security controls. You must not use Logos to violate academic rules, misuse another person's data, or attack or overload the service.

6. Academic information and AI

Logos is an organization and planning tool, not an academic authority. You are responsible for confirming degree requirements, deadlines, grades, and registration decisions with your institution. Logos AI provides suggestions and summaries; review its output before acting on it. AI output does not guarantee academic eligibility or results.

7. Availability and updates

We aim to maintain a useful and secure service, but it may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance, provider outages, or events outside our control. We may release updates, change features, or discontinue a feature when reasonably necessary.

8. Account closure

You may stop using Logos and request account deletion through the account flow. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms, create security or legal risk, or use fraudulent or reversed payments. Account deletion does not automatically cancel a Paddle or Google Play subscription. Cancel it through the payment provider before deleting the account. Account closure does not remove obligations that by their nature continue after closure.

9. Disclaimers

To the extent permitted by law, Logos is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation or that the service is suitable for every academic decision. Nothing in these Terms limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be limited.
